The Red Sea

The Red Sea is a branch of the Indian Ocean, beginning at the straits of Bab El Mandab, between Yemen and Ethiopia, and climbing northwest to the point where the Sinai peninsula divides it into two long narrow gulfs: Aqaba and Suez. Read more


The Sinai

The Sinai is wedged between Africa and Asia, and is an area of great significance. In addition to its natural magnificence, it is the setting for many important historical events and remains a holy place for Jews, Muslims and Christians alike. Read more

The dominant culture in the Sinai is Bedouin, and this makes it a very different place to the rest of Egypt. The Bedouin manage their land and their lives in a relatively autonomous way, and are renown for their wonderful hospitality. Read more


Dahab stories on top Danish web sites

Peter & Sandra were here January & July 2008. In January, they did their Open Water course (having started with eLearning at home), an overnight desert safari to Wadi Arada, then a 1 day introduction to Freediving. In July, they followed up with some fun diving & an overnight Camel Diving Safari to Ras Abu Galoum. The result was a very fun week, captured in photos, stories & video.
