Camel Diving Safaris

Let's be clear about this - camels can't dive! What they can do is take you on unique diving adventures you won't find anywhere else in the world. Do a daytrip with 2 dives, or spend the whole week diving from Dahab to Sharm or Nuweiba.

Here are our most popular safari programs – north and south. We’re also happy to tailor a program for you, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask! Accommodation is Bedouin style - simple beach huts with mattresses and blankets under the stars.

Overnight Ras Abu Galoum (2 days/4 dives)

This is our most popular Camel Diving Safari - 2 days, 4 dives and a glorious night underneath the stars. Ras Abu Galoum is a remote Bedouin fishing settlement & Protected Area, as well as one of the area's most beautiful coral gardens. Octopus and turtles are common, plus rays and a huge variety of reef fish & invertebrates. Read more

Overnight Gabr El Bint (2 days/4 dives)

These days you can take a boat to Gabr El Bint, but it's still nice to do things the traditional way! Staying overnight also gives you enough time to explore the full range of sites in the area - canyons, a lagoon and impressive reef walls alive with gorgonian fan corals. All have characteristics that attract rare and large marine life including snapper, grouper and rays. Read more

Ras Abu Galoum Diving & Desert Adventure (4 days/6 dives/desert trek or 5 days/10 dives)

3-5 day Camel Diving Safaris to Ras Abu Galoum & Ras Mammlah (the Northern Protected Area), plus an optional day trekking to Bir El Ogda oasis. On these longer safaris, we take a portable compressor with us. If you want to do an extra dive, no problem - just fill your tank and go! Read more

Nabq Protected Area (5 days/10 dives)

This is the original Camel Diving Safari! Today, we do this safari just once or twice a year. We combine diving the best sites from the past (Gabr El Bint, for example, discovered on that very first safari), with discovery dives. And we find at least one beautiful new dive site, every time! Jeep Diving Safaris

Jeep Dive Safaris are only possible to 2 locations: the southern end of Nabq and northern tip of Ras Abu Galoum (Ras Mammlah). They're for people who want to dive these locations, but don't have time to explore the entire coast by camel. Read more
