Overnight Ras Abu Galoum (2 days/4 dives)

This is our most popular Camel Diving Safari - 2 days, 4 dives and a glorious night underneath the stars. Ras Abu Galoum is a remote Bedouin fishing settlement & Protected Area, as well as one of the area's most beautiful coral gardens. Octopus and turtles are common, plus rays and a huge variety of reef fish & invertebrates.

CDS Kids on CamelsDay 1:

  • Depart Dahab 6-7am. Travel by jeep to the Blue Hole where we meet our camels. A quick lesson in camel driving, and we’re off! It’s a 1 hour trek along a beautiful stretch of the Aqaba coastline to Ras Abu Galoum. Relax & enjoy the ride!
  • Ras Abu Galoum is a traditional Bedouin fishing settlement and home to 5 or 6 families. Our hosts welcome us with a cup Bedouin tea and beautiful breakfast. A short rest and then it’s time to dive!
  • 1st dive Ras Abu Galoum: Sabah House Reef
  • More tea, lunch & time to explore. Snorkel, swim or just chill out and read a book!
  • 2nd dive Ras Abu Galoum: The Sand Canyon
  • Towards evening, we move to A’Maied for the night, gathering round the fire for dinner and an amazing night in the million star hotel.

  • Wake with the sun & fresh baked Bedouin bread.
  • 1st dive: A’Maied
  • Lunch and time to walk to the Laguna or relax in the shade.
  • 2nd dive: The Tonsils at A’Maied
  • After our 2nd dive, it’s time to start the journey home. By jeep to Ras Abu Galoum, by camel to the Blue Hole and jeep again to Dahab.
  • Arrive Dahab 5-6pm
