Overnight Gabr El Bint (2 days/4 dives)

These days you can take a boat to Gabr El Bint, but it's still nice to do things the traditional way! Staying overnight also gives you enough time to explore the full range of sites in the area - canyons, a lagoon and impressive reef walls alive with gorgonian fan corals. All have characteristics that attract rare and large marine life including snapper, grouper and rays.

Example Itinerary

Day 1: Gabr El Bint

• Depart Dahab by jeep. After about 30 mins, the route is impenetrable by vehicle. This is where you meet your camel!
• A simple Bedouin breakfast while our camels are loaded up - fresh bread and goats cheese, accompanied by lots of sweet Bedouin tea. 
• Now it's our turn! Up on to the camels & we're off!! 1 hour journey to Gabr El Bint. Some of the Camel Diving Safari locations have small Bedouin settlements nearby, but Gabr El Bint is just empty beach with beautiful dives left and right. After relaxing with another tea, it's time for the 1st dive!
• Gabr El Bint, Wall Dive: "Nice" is a bit of an understatement. This wall is as alive as it could possibly be. There is a tree coral here so big that you really have to think twice about whether you're in the sea or back on land. Rays are common in the lagoon, and large Groupers/Napoleon Wrasse along the wall. 
  
• Lunch & relax, then the 2nd dive.
• Gabr El Bint, Gorgonians: Straight into the blue towards a school of snapper, then off to the left to meet the coral slope. The highlight of this dive is a wall of giant sea fan gorgonians that stretches as far as you can see. Sometimes a turtle will join the dive.
• A short journey up the coast and camp for the night.

Day 2:

• Wake with the sun and fresh baked Bedouin bread
• Morning dive at the Canyon
• Lunch & afternoon dive at the Small Blue Hole: no, not the famous Blue Hole – its baby brother in the south. Just 15m deep, you can say you've been to the bottom of the Blue Hole!! 
• Pack our bags onto the camels, then one last Bedouin tea before our journey home - by camel to the Caves then jeep to Dahab.
• Arrive Dahab 5-6 pm
